At this point I don't think any of my inks wont be bookish. xD

as you wish - The Princess Bride )

deathly hallows sign - Harry Potter )

mockingjay - The Hunger Games )

Pokeball - Pokemon )

various ideas - The Last Unicorn )

So yes, these are the ideas I'm tossing around. I'm not doing this soon [tattoos are best not rushed] but I DO want to get another. I'm thinking of getting the Deathly Hallows sign before the next movie though, or maybe the day of the midnight showing? idk idk

Anyway, I'd love some opinions/suggestions! What locations might be nice? What ideas do you like most? etc etc. I know what's most important is me being happy with my tattoo, but I still like having second opinions.

I went to see my artist today to let him see how my tattoos are doing [when I went last time he was out of town], and we both agreed "infinite" needed a touch up. He told me I could come back today at 3:30 for it. I didn't expect him to say today but I'm glad, it'll be a good thing done.

I have some pictures of it now I'll post when I get home, and after it heals from the touch up I'll post pics of that too so people can see how it looks. I'll make a post about it showing it freshly done, healed up the first time, and after the touch up on [livejournal.com profile] literarytattoos for all the people who asked for it. [I haven't forgotten about it! :)]

Just posting to let the people who friended me for it know ~what's going on~

For the curious; my tattoo is looking far better now that I only do the lotion once every other day. Pictures soon~

I need to scan some stuff soon, I have so many doodles...

I got a book today about various historical "what ifs", and since it was only a few buck I just couldn't resist. ;3;

Oh that reminds me [although I'm not sure WHY it reminds me] that I have jury duty next month on the 15th. I'll have to get up early, but I don't mind that much so I'm not going to both trying to get out of it. Besides, if they do want me I'll get some cash out of it, so while I doubt they'll pick me it can't be too much of a bother, you know? eh we'll see.

um also I should be reading. I am not even half done with The Scarlet Pimpernel. I blame Persona man, I am addicted already. I am playing it right now. xD; [no really, I am sitting on my bed, typing this between turns on my minilaptop.]

Also I've seen The Princess and The Frog now; it was really good. My mum even liked it too. :D So I totally recommend it to everyone; the story is good, the characters are fun, and visually it's beautiful. Some of the scenes were just so pretty man. ;3; Maybe I've just been out of the loop and that's how Disney movies are now, but man, The Little Mermaid was never this sparkly and detailed. xD

Oh and I'm thinking of photographing my day sometimes, like I used to on Dreamwidth. Except I'd post them here... or would that be too spammy? I mean, I've kind of forgotten about my DW account, so I could do it there, but I'm just naturally more active here. ahh idk, I'll probably decide to do it and then stop again after a month haha.

eh whatever, back to P3. =3=

I hope everyone is doing well!

I really want to get into Persona. People keep talking about it and I keep coming across icons and rps with Persona characters and ahh I need in on this awesome. ;__; brb saving up money.

My tattoos are looking good, but I already think my white ink one will need a touch up, if only because white doesn't show up much and he didn't fully colour in the letters when he did it, so I want that done, at least. I shouldn't have to pay again since that was something he should have done the first time anyway [and I was so half out of it that I didn't notice at first, as everything was puffy and red and weird xD;] so WE'LL SEE HOW THAT GOES.
Also my foot is fine but my wrist itches like a bitch. I guess it's better than if it were the other way around but ahhh I just keep putting on lotion and gently scratching around it. xD; [On a more ~serious~ note, my foot tattoo is turning out GREAT. It looks good, it's scabbing well i think, and it's not itching other than maybe now and then. :D]

iie Holland icon finally

Anyway, tattoo pictures COMING SOON and I have a few sketches to scan that I'll try to post to my sketch blog thing later.

My tattoos have started scabbing and I've recently switched to using lotion; as I've been told by my artist to do so after 3 days of using A&D.

The scabbing is... very strange. I mean, it's totally normal, but it feels strange. I guess that sounds a little ridiculous, but there you have it.

Also, they're really itchy. I know this, too, is normal and all part of it, but it's not fun. I've just been carefully scratching around it though, so if I can last another week or so I should be fine.

update pics; how my tattoos are healing & etc. )

So, I decided on four new year resolutions instead of just making stuff up as I go along throughout the year or whatever. I have goals now, so let's see how I do, hm?

I'll list them all out even though I am a dork and have a spreadsheet for it and my progress... what can I say, I love making lists haha~

My new year resolutions~
⇒ Read one book a month or 12 books total in 2010
⇒ Draw one [good] picture every month
⇒ Do NaNoWriMo Even if I don't get 50k words I am STILL TRYING!
⇒ Get healthy/healthier

I wanted to add "Write one good/finished drabble/fic every month" too but then I remembered NaNoWriMo, and I think all my writing effort should go to that when it comes round, so I'll be spending my other months planning my NaNoWriMo work... when I'm not reading and drawing and working out haha.

So yes, let's hope I go through with all of this.

I haven't drawn anything this month [it's only Jan 2en but STILL] because ow my wrist, but I am reading The Scarlet Pimpernel [I just started! I'm on page 11 haha xD; Don't tell me any spoilers, please! ;3;] so I'm at least working on one of these things... Also I am a cheater and am counting the fact I drink nothing but water and don't eat any junk food as part of my "getting healthier" thing, and I have some planning stuff done for NaNoWriMo, so WOO I AM MAKING GOOD PROGRESS! xD

Speaking of my tattoos [no, really, I mentioned one of them at the beginning of that paragraph!] I've decided I'll try to take a good picture a week and then post it at the end of the month so you new guys who friended me [hi!] can see the healing process and all. And I'm talking about just my white tatt, because, well... everyone knows how black tattoos heal up.

I'll talk about it a bit some as I am still excited about it and it's finally sinking in.

tattoo rambling because this post is long enough already haha )

Well I should go shower now so I guess I'll end this here. [Although I'll probably grab a snack, read the rest of the chapter I'm on in The Scarlet Pimpernel, and then shower, because that's just how I roll.]

Tattoo pics! Warning, a little bit bloody and puffy, so those easily squicked may not want to look. )

For anyone curious to see how my white ink tattoo looks when it heals up feel free to friend me; I plan on posting in my journal about it more, including pictures and talking about the healing process and whatnot.
I plan to post to [livejournal.com profile] literarytattoos in about a month or so with some updated pictures [as well as pictures of it when I first got it done so people can see the difference], as quite a few people have told me they'd like me to do so.

So you can friend me and check my tattoo tag [or just check the tag; all tattoo entries should be public so you don't HAVE to friend me if you don't want too; which is totally fine] for all the updates, or keep an eye out at the comm for an update from me sometime in the beginning of February.

Just thought I'd throw that out there and let you know! :)

I put my deposit down and I'm getting inked on the first. :)

I've decided to do just "infinite" and the Harry Potter stars, as the other ones would be nice, but I don't want to over do it. [I DO want to get some sort of Gackt related tattoo, but I have NO idea what and so I'll wait on that and see if I think of a good idea and think on it a few months once I do.]
prussianknight: (Hetalia - FrUK)
I'm... pretty sure I'm going to do this, and I've been thinking about it for months [for about half a year now] and still really want to, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. [I'm still a giant sissy and am worried about the pain aspect though...]

What I want is the word "infinite" on my wrist but on my right wrist now instead. I realized I mainly wanted it on the left wrist as I'm right handed and that's the wrist I could practice on, not the one I exactly WANTED it on... so after thinking about it I think it'd be best on the right. The explanation for this one is in the link, so if you're curious go there. :)

The second piece I want is the Harry Potter chapter stars on the inside side of my foot. It's another small, subtle thing I don't think people will notice [unless more people stare at feet than I think haha] that may or may not be so obvious. [I'm sure a fan would recognize it for what it is, but to everyone else it'd just be three little nice stars.] It'll be a little close to the ankle, past where a flip-flop strap would hit so it doesn't get touched or covered up anything when I'm wearing flip-flops. [As they're almost all I wear, even now during the winter. xD] I've grown up with these books and still love them. Rereading them a few weeks ago reminded me of just how amazing this series really is. I'm going back on my "no fandom-y tattoos" thing, but I can't see me ever regretting something like this. If nothing else it's a homage to my childhood. :)

So, yeah... Two tattoos, small but in places that seem like they'd hurt fairly bad. Go me. xD; [And, in the dorkier part of my mind, I'm also thinking that the one on my wrist will always be so light I don't need to hide it when I'm cosplaying and the second in a place easy to hide in cosplay photos just by moving my foot a little, or easy enough to conceal/in an insignificant place. So all in all these are two ideas I've really come to like that shouldn't get in the way of one of my biggest hobbies. :D]

I'm mainly posting this to jot my thoughts down and let the few people I haven't fangirled on about this idea know what I'm thinking about doing, but, ah, feel free to voice your thoughts on this~ [Or if you have a tattoo maybe let me know how much pain I might be in for? xD;;;]

EDIT:
Well, I've done it. I've gotten my tattoos. :)
[You can also check the "tattoo" tag to see other pics and journal entries about them!]
