Thankfully, England is done, and Denmark is all done other than the wig [which is being a bitch, at the moment].

Okay, so things have been BUSY. I've pretty much FINISHED a cosplay I only just decided to do [Denmark; sorry for the horrid quality] and been trying to finalize plans for the gay pride festival I'm going to be in on the 25th. We [my group] might not get to stay as long as I'd hoped now, but we'll see how it goes.

Aniwave is coming up soon-ish, I think. [Sept 20 or Nov 20? Why can't I ever remember?] I'll probably be Denmark to it because I'm super excited about how nicely this cosplay has come out. I literally got this done in... three days. I started shopping on the 12th and finished yesterday on the 14th. And by finished I mean I'm still boot shopping and waiting for my wig to get here so I can style it. [The boots I don't count, as I'll also use them for Ukraine, England, Prussia, Canada and... basically ALL HETALIA COSPLAYS haha]

Next Animazement I'll have people together to do a Nordic cosplay group and I am so so excited. We even have an Iceland. :D

Other than that I'm thinking of making a giant axe. I'm trying to think of a good way yo make it, as I want something lighter than wood and... I think I'm going to go with cardboard. I know, I know; it sounds shitty already, right? But I've made a keyblade of it before and it looked badass. So this should only cost me $12 or less, as that's about what the keyblade cost to make, so... well, looks like I have a new pet project.

Ah well, random subject change time~ Mighty Fine Cosplay is getting together this weekend and attempting to make a cosplay video [or two. Or three. Or fifty, amirite, rainbowmiku?] and take some pictures. We have lots of strange, lulzy things planned [tea parties, a hoy!] as well as actual serious cool things [you know the 100 themes challenge? Ooooh yeeeeah.] so I'm really looking forward to it, even if I don't have my Denmark wig in time and I'm on my period and thus Not Happy™. I'm sure that I'll have so much fun that I wont be thinking about my period. [And that midol will come to my aid.]

Other than that I have plushies I need to make and work on. I mentioned this to someone already, but would anyone be interested in an actual plushie tutorial? I don't mind making one, and I've had a few people ask how I make pluhies, what to use, etc etc and... I honestly don't mind answering these questions, but might a tutorial be useful? idk, I feel like I'm a little pompous asking but... if anyone wants one I'd be willing to do one. I need an excuse to start a new plushie, anyway. =3=

So, I went out today and ended up watching How To Train Your Dragon. Oh my gosh it was so good. It was interesting, visually fantastic, and the characters were all so well rounded. [Well, for a children's movie haha~] Also, Toothless. Oh my godddd I need a plushie of him or something. ;3; Talk about adorable.

Oh, and the Hetalia stuff I ordered from a girl on the main comm came in today.



I need to find a good way to have this little guy stay on my Prussia wig without pinning him or something, because, dude. He is beyond cute and I kind of wish I'd gotten a second so I could have one for cosplay and one to squee over. xD

aaaanyway, I'm off to work on stuff for AZ or doodle Toothless. Probably the latter though.

So, after making allied!mochi cellphhone charms [which I'll take better pictures of when I gloss them, as they're all dry now and I can do that, and put them on cellphone straps] and such, I decided to work on my other project;

Hetalia shoes. I've been a fan of Bri-chan on DeviantArt and the shoes she does, so while I know I'm not near her skill level, I figured I should give it a go as I've wanted to for ages. So, of course, I go with my favorite series of the moment and go with Hetalia. And, as I mainly want to do this for practice, I'm making these shoes to sell at Animazement this year, as they have an art auction. Maybe I'm being presumptuous; I've never tried to sell art before, but, hey, who knows. Maybe I'll make some money this year instead of spending only. ;D [And I like to think I'm a pretty good artist, and I love painting, so... :D? I considered using markers like Bri-chan does, but I have never been good with markers on paper, let alone on shoes. @__@]

After talking with friends about what might sell best, I decided to make pairing shoes, with each shoe featuring one character. And the most popular pairing I could think of to try and get this to sell? USUK. xD; I'm not a fan of the pairing [I love them in a father and son dynamic more] but I'm not OMG AGAINST IT or whatever, so hopefully my work in making shoes for a pairing I don't even ship wont be in vain.

I haven't painted them [I'll be doing that tomorrow if I have the time] but I've sketched on them and so far I'm really happy with my ideas for them. They look really plain as a sketch, but hopefully they'll look more impressive when done.

I'm probably going to paint over the lines on the edge of the shoe... maybe mess with the little blue stripes too, but idk. they may look good with some of the colours I plan to use so we'll see.

I think I'll start the bidding price for them at $15 and see how high it goes. Depends on how much glaze these shoes end up needing, as that stuff can be expensive... I may bump it up a bit, idk yet. I know rainbowmiku wants a pair [dunno what yet, FrUK or RusChi I guess, although I told her I'll do non-pairing and non-Hetalia stuff haha~] sometime after the convention, so with any luck I'll get good at this and may offer to make shoes for others if they want me to. [I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, though...] I've never been one to think much of my art, let alone try to sell it or take commissions or anything, but who knows, maybe people will want them. I know I plan to make a pair for myself sometime.

In other hopefully less rambly news, I got a few things I needed for cosplay and my panel with double00beaver today. It was totally worth going out in the pollen. The convention feels way too close, but I'm actually on schedule so, yeah. It feels so strange haha.

I'm tired so nothing more until tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have more things done then, but we'll see.

RockinAnime and I are redoing The Princess and the Frog Hetalia style. ...Because apparently there are others out there that like taking dorky ideas too far and I happened to meet one of them. xD
The club is for any and all Disney/Hetalia crossovers though, so anything goes~

Also, because I ship it so hard and there somehow ISN'T already a club for it, Holland/Canada! I wasn't going to do it, but then YOUFACE123 offered to help admin it, so they made it and I joined them. :D

Well, we'll see how this goes... orz
