prussianknight: (Plushenko - yaaaaay!!)
Well, I'm in the car and on my way to az now. :) if anyone wants to get a hold of me just text me, comment here or email me. If anyone wants to know what's going on with me they can check my twitter [@emikoakimoto] as I'll probably be tweeting a lot this weekend.

/pretentious post assuming that other people even care.

So, um. Yeah. I got something done, at least. xD

edit:
oh and hey guys, I mentioned it on DA but not here, so... if anyone would like to commission me for any of these or something else [I think after getting most of Toothless done, he's still a WIP, I can make any sort of simple charm someone may want. xD] let me know and we can figure out a price or something.
prussianknight: (Gackt - alone)
Okay, so I looked up art auction rules for AZ [I know, I already started making stuff for it and I only check out the rules now? xD Go me~] and it turns out that, for $5, I'll get 1.5 square feet. These shoes wont take up that much space. I'm wondering if I should make another set of mochi cellphone charms and sell them, too. I'd just be selling the allies, though I guess I could try to make the axis too? Though I really dunno how I'd mochi them... [their most defining features would be hard to put on a mochi, so all I have, really, are their EYES. :|]

So, a set of five with the bidding starting at $10; $2 per mochi, is what I'll probably do... I'm just wondering if everyone else thinks it's a good idea or a waste of time or what. I just figure I should use the space I'll have...

I swear I'll eventually stop posting so much and thus stop spamming everyone on my flist. @__@;

One side down, two more per shoe to go~
prussianknight: (Heroes - :D)
So, after making allied!mochi cellphhone charms [which I'll take better pictures of when I gloss them, as they're all dry now and I can do that, and put them on cellphone straps] and such, I decided to work on my other project;

Hetalia shoes. I've been a fan of Bri-chan on DeviantArt and the shoes she does, so while I know I'm not near her skill level, I figured I should give it a go as I've wanted to for ages. So, of course, I go with my favorite series of the moment and go with Hetalia. And, as I mainly want to do this for practice, I'm making these shoes to sell at Animazement this year, as they have an art auction. Maybe I'm being presumptuous; I've never tried to sell art before, but, hey, who knows. Maybe I'll make some money this year instead of spending only. ;D [And I like to think I'm a pretty good artist, and I love painting, so... :D? I considered using markers like Bri-chan does, but I have never been good with markers on paper, let alone on shoes. @__@]

After talking with friends about what might sell best, I decided to make pairing shoes, with each shoe featuring one character. And the most popular pairing I could think of to try and get this to sell? USUK. xD; I'm not a fan of the pairing [I love them in a father and son dynamic more] but I'm not OMG AGAINST IT or whatever, so hopefully my work in making shoes for a pairing I don't even ship wont be in vain.

I haven't painted them [I'll be doing that tomorrow if I have the time] but I've sketched on them and so far I'm really happy with my ideas for them. They look really plain as a sketch, but hopefully they'll look more impressive when done.

Pictures here! )

I'm probably going to paint over the lines on the edge of the shoe... maybe mess with the little blue stripes too, but idk. they may look good with some of the colours I plan to use so we'll see.

I think I'll start the bidding price for them at $15 and see how high it goes. Depends on how much glaze these shoes end up needing, as that stuff can be expensive... I may bump it up a bit, idk yet. I know [livejournal.com profile] rainbowmiku wants a pair [dunno what yet, FrUK or RusChi I guess, although I told her I'll do non-pairing and non-Hetalia stuff haha~] sometime after the convention, so with any luck I'll get good at this and may offer to make shoes for others if they want me to. [I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, though...] I've never been one to think much of my art, let alone try to sell it or take commissions or anything, but who knows, maybe people will want them. I know I plan to make a pair for myself sometime.

aaanyway, I figured I might as well post pics of my most recent project. o3o

In other hopefully less rambly news, I got a few things I needed for cosplay and my panel with [livejournal.com profile] double00beaver today. It was totally worth going out in the pollen. The convention feels way too close, but I'm actually on schedule so, yeah. It feels so strange haha.

I'm tired so nothing more until tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have more things done then, but we'll see.

Wigs!

Well guys, the Fantasy Sheep wigs are here! I had to open the bags and look at some of them to figure out which wig is what [I hope no one minds! I didn't try them on or anything, but still] and from the ones I looked at I can say that I am quite happy with them! They're so worth the hassle this GO has been. xD

So they're all here, bagged and now labelled. I'm bringing Jessica's to AZ, and Lyn is going to come by sometime to pay me and pick hers up, so all is well.

:D

In other news, I went out the other day and while it was fun my allergies were killing me, so I'm back to staying indoors for awhile. At least I don't have too much to do before Animazement. [Which it way too close guys. It's, what, 40-ish days now? @__@] At least I got a bit more done and thus checked off my list, but still. AZ IS FAR TOO CLOSE.

Also, I still have a ton of Eevees and some Chikorita eggs if anyone wants any.

EDIT;
I has wig pictures! :D + lulz now! )
prussianknight: (Evan - I want you to enjoy the vodka)
Because you know how I love lists! :D

Animazement 2010 lineup )

Oh, and I'm also wondering if anyone knows a good commissioner? Because I want the Russian Olympic jacket something fierce. Not even for cosplay, just for everyday wear and such. Images under the cut:

Russian jacket of awesome! )

I don't have a price range in mind at the moment, but I just thought I'd tack this on and throw it out there.

So, I'm suddenly adding cosplays to my list for Animazement. I wonder how this all will turn out...

my plans:
Canada [100% done]
England [...not even half done]
Ravenclaw!England [about half done, maybe more...]
pirate!Prussia [NOTHING DONE AT ALL]

England is just sort of being thrown together, and I'm not talking Ravenclaw!England seriously [it's just for fun. My friends and I want to run around and be dorks casting spells haha.]... Canada is ~TOTALLY FINISHED~ and I'm happy with it [maybe one ay I'll do his more official version but... it looks so hot for a summer con. D:], but PRUSSIA... uuugh. I need lots of cash to commission that but I'm determined.

Expect to soon see me selling cosplay stuff, anime, manga, games, music, etc.

LET'S SEE HOW THIS TURNS OUT.

Finished colouring that Canada bookmark, now I just need to work on the background and all.

I'll edit this later with a sample when I'm done.

ahh I feel like I'm spamming you guys, I'm sorry. D:

EDIT:

ahh, I'm so happy with it. ;3;

...now to make more and work on prints, and maybe hats and plushes. orz
prussianknight: (Default)
Because the buttons may be a no go [expensive + time consuming = ahhhh] I've been working on prints and the like. I am back to square one, really. So I'm freaking out a bit but hey if I don't do this it's not the end of the world so I'm going to try to chill and not freak out.

ALSO I literally JUST got my button order... I ordered 11 buttons, some to test the size I want to sell and wow... I ordered 11 buttons, two big the rest small, and got 13 buttons, one big the rest small. I do not want to deal with this when I make a 100+ button order for AZ so I'll be looking for another place to go or investing in a machine of my own. I've never used a button making machine, does anyone have any advise as to what is good or can help me in anyway in figuring out what one to get? ♥

ANYWAY BOOKMARK PREVIEW. I'll be using kinkos for this so I should be okay haha

It's all fuzzy because I colour zoomed in, js. xD;

Not the most interesting preview but I figured I shouldn't include anything worth stealing so yes. :B

EDIT:
Button fail!

Note; I only planned to sell things like the little England pins, Prussia will invade your vital regions, and FrUK. The rest are just for me because I am a dork. xD

As you can see some aren't even centered all that well. I don't really mind it enough to contact them and get new ones, but if I had an order to sell and stuff came all off centered like that I'd have quite a problem on my hands... :/

But I will say I'm really happy with the young England pin. I think the big size would be TOO big anyway, so whatever, the extra pins make up for the cost of a big pin I guess... Either way I'm still dropping most of my pin plans this year and looking into other ways to get them done.

Eevee~

What I'm working on now.

I made it small but if this messes up your f-list tell me and I'll lj-cut it.

I wonder if I'll finish this haha.

If anyone wants to colour this or something let me know? I'll totally post the line art for you or something, idk. I can't imagine anyone would want to but HEY IDK, MAYBE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO STILL LIKES COLOURING BOOKS AND STUFF? xD;;

In other news the company I was going to make and order buttons from for AA is throwing a bitch fit over it being fanart, even though they sell a bunch of fanart laden buttons so ahh. I'm thinking about doing just prints but idk. :|

AA pin~

Well, I've gotten one pin done for AA! I'm going to do a non-chibi pin next and see what I like most, then go from there.

Ah... I just figured I should post this here too, as I did it on FB so HEY, WHY NOT? Also I'd love any/all feedback critique. Esp. on the style of the chibi, as I never draw chibi so yeah, it was a bit weird for me.

Does the flag BG look okay, or should it be flat with no filter on it to make it look all textured? I'd like some opinions on it, as I keep going back and forth between liking it and not. xD;;;

Edit:
I've just gotten done a kolkolkol pin and a Heartless pin. I feel so productive. xD

Edit 2:
I've gotten a North Italy pin done too! I feel so accomplished today! :D

Feel free to critique/comment/whatever any of them! Feedback is loved. ;3;
prussianknight: (Default)
Well, I've never made a hat before and boy does it show. Everything is too big. @_@ I know what I've done wrong though, so the next hat should look better. It took about two hours to make [including the time it took me to make a pattern for it]

a picture! )

As I said, too big [even the face I put on looks huge and tbh I sort of half assed it as I already screwed up on it by that point anyway haha] and all but feel free to critique or whatever, idk.

[Also, I'm thinking I'd charge about $12-$15 per hat when I make some good ones. Too high? Too low? I am awful at making decisions. xD;]
