Tattoo pics below! Warning, a little bit bloody and puffy, so those easily squicked may not want to look. [but it's really not that bad; I promise.]

Okay, so the day finally came to do this. I've already talked about the meaning of these tattoos and why I got them and all before, so I'll skip that and get right to the actual tattooing. :)

I got there at about 12:00, even though my appointment wasn't until 12:33 and we didn't get started until about 1:00. There I met a super cool and really nice woman [whose name I don't even know but we chatted it up while I was there] who was also getting a foot tattoo [she had one on her other foot, a big one on her back, and she mentioned one on her lower side but I didn't see it] so she told me sort of what to expect.

It didn't help. I must not handle pain well because oh god it hurt. I did the wrist first and stopped halfway through to calm down and take some sugar tablet thing [that diabetics take] to help me feel better. From there on it hurt but wasn't too bad.

Then we started on the foot. Oh goodness it's worse. I almost cried haha. I was so glad when it was done. Don't get me wrong; I'm THRILLED with how it turned out, but... I was not enjoying the process much lol. xD [Oh, and the girl who was also getting a foot tattoo that I was chatting it up with? She was fine and happy and talking to me while we were having ours done. I asked her how she was so calm and composed and she just laughed a bit and told me "you'll get used to it~"]

Anyway, on to pictures!

Al after having put on the outline for my white tattoo

Inking it~

My foot after he was done with it

About three hours later at home; all puffy and kinda bloody and shiny from the cream he put on it

A slightly better picture of it

It was so worth the pain; I'm so happy with them. :D

For anyone curious to see how my white ink tattoo looks when it heals up feel free to friend me; I plan on posting in my journal about it more, including pictures and talking about the healing process and whatnot.
I plan to post to [livejournal.com profile] literarytattoos in about a month or so with some updated pictures [as well as pictures of it when I first got it done so people can see the difference], as quite a few people have told me they'd like me to do so.

So you can friend me and check my tattoo tag [or just check the tag; all tattoo entries should be public so you don't HAVE to friend me if you don't want too; which is totally fine] for all the updates, or keep an eye out at the comm for an update from me sometime in the beginning of February.

Just thought I'd throw that out there and let you know! :)
