tattoo stuff
Nov. 26th, 2009 11:14 pmI'm... pretty sure I'm going to do this, and I've been thinking about it for months [for about half a year now] and still really want to, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. [I'm still a giant sissy and am worried about the pain aspect though...]
What I want is the word "infinite" on my wrist but on my right wrist now instead. I realized I mainly wanted it on the left wrist as I'm right handed and that's the wrist I could practice on, not the one I exactly WANTED it on... so after thinking about it I think it'd be best on the right. The explanation for this one is in the link, so if you're curious go there. :)
The second piece I want is the Harry Potter chapter stars on the inside side of my foot. It's another small, subtle thing I don't think people will notice [unless more people stare at feet than I think haha] that may or may not be so obvious. [I'm sure a fan would recognize it for what it is, but to everyone else it'd just be three little nice stars.] It'll be a little close to the ankle, past where a flip-flop strap would hit so it doesn't get touched or covered up anything when I'm wearing flip-flops. [As they're almost all I wear, even now during the winter. xD] I've grown up with these books and still love them. Rereading them a few weeks ago reminded me of just how amazing this series really is. I'm going back on my "no fandom-y tattoos" thing, but I can't see me ever regretting something like this. If nothing else it's a homage to my childhood. :)
So, yeah... Two tattoos, small but in places that seem like they'd hurt fairly bad. Go me. xD; [And, in the dorkier part of my mind, I'm also thinking that the one on my wrist will always be so light I don't need to hide it when I'm cosplaying and the second in a place easy to hide in cosplay photos just by moving my foot a little, or easy enough to conceal/in an insignificant place. So all in all these are two ideas I've really come to like that shouldn't get in the way of one of my biggest hobbies. :D]
I'm mainly posting this to jot my thoughts down and let the few people I haven't fangirled on about this idea know what I'm thinking about doing, but, ah, feel free to voice your thoughts on this~ [Or if you have a tattoo maybe let me know how much pain I might be in for? xD;;;]

EDIT:
Well, I've done it. I've gotten my tattoos. :)
[You can also check the "tattoo" tag to see other pics and journal entries about them!]
