Lucaille Wig Group Order!
Jun. 5th, 2011 12:02 am
Click the image to go to the Lucaille taobao shop!
Open to anyone! If you're not local though you'll have to cover shipping from me to you. Sorry! I'm not making money from this so I think it's only fair I also don't lose money. :) For the record, I'm located in North Carolina, USA.
Group order status: Open!
→ I'd like to close this at the end of December (when people should be getting hoilday cash~) and I will invoice everyone as soon as I can.
→ I'd like to order with Airmail to keep it cheap, but if EMS isn't a much more or we have enough people that it's a cheap option then I'll get that.
→ People can change their mind on what they want until the GO closes, but please don't drop out last minuet, or at all preferably.
→ Please comment with a link to what wig(s) you want and I'll add it to the list. Please don't do this if you don't plan to stick with the group order.
→ I take payments either in person or via paypal as a gift unless you want to cover the 4%. (This is simply because I don't want to pay even 4% of your wigs, so hopefully everyone understands. I'm helping to save you money, so help me out too.)
→ Shipping will be split evenly depending on who orders what. Someone who buys one short wig wont pay quite as much as someone who orders four long ones, for example.
→ If you need some help navigating the site let me know. I've gotten pretty used to taobao so I don't mind helping~
→ I'm posting about this both here on LJ and on FB, so if you see the other no worries; it's the same group order! You don't need to post to both, either. I'll be keeping track and updating this post from both LJ and FB~ :)
→ Lucaille also sells things other than just wigs. This group order is open to anything in their taobao shop, even if it's not a wig. I label this a wig GO as that's what they MAINLY sell.
→ You can use this converter to figure out the price in USD. I round up to the nearest dollar just to be on the safe side. If it ends up being any less when I get the invoice though I'll change it. :)

I've gotten my two Lucaille wigs in and I love them. I'll post pictures when I'm not rushing to get ready for AWA, but they're really nice! They don't tangle much at all, and this is coming from someone who hates long wigs and now owns a waist length pink one for Fluttershy.
---
Also, I realised some people might want to see my feedback as this is opened to everyone, not just my irl friends and lj friends, since not all of you know me!
eBay, Den of Angels, Livejournal.
I've done wig orders before [usually of orders $200+] but they were for irl friends so I don't have any feedback online. I could try to get people to post testimonials if anyone is concerned though.
Oh, and a note about the Den of Angels link; you need to be a member to see it. I can send you an invite if you'd like, but if that's too much work than take my word for it that I've had nothing but positive feedback so far and have sold a doll worth a few hundred dollars with no bumps in the road, so I like to think I'm trustworthy. :) If you have any questions or concerns though feel free to comment or send me a private message.

Date: 2011-06-05 04:45 am (UTC)I have no need of wigs
right nowbut I see this is open until December right? I might just bookmark this and come back, kekeke. Mind if I show this to my best friend, she might be in the market for a nice wig or two and I'll vouch for her.no subject
Date: 2011-06-05 04:56 am (UTC)And yep, I don't plan on closing it until the end of December, probably the VERY END of December so I can place the order as soon as possible but still give people time to browse, think over what they want and actually have the money on hand and all.
Awesome, feel free to bookmark and show to any friends you'd like. I'm up for anyone joining. To be on the safe side I'll probably give people a two week deadline after the GO closes to pay, but since this will be open for months I doubt that'll be an issue~ But yeah, the more the merrier; we'll be able to split shipping more so I definitely don't mind. :D

Date: 2011-08-14 08:40 am (UTC)Either way there's still time so I'm not too worried, and as bonus I can review the wigs when my friend and I get ours (we had to order in time for AWA) and post pics and stuff, which may make more people want to join more.
Sorry if this has dampened your spirits about it any, but even if only one person is interested I'll still run this order.

Date: 2011-09-28 02:11 pm (UTC)I'm going to AWA this weekend so if you tell me the wigs you want and I don't reply to you it's simply because I'm a few states away without internet. I'll get back to you when I can, though~ (No rush though; you have until the end of the year to tell me what ones you want, I'm just letting you know just in case.)

Date: 2011-12-24 03:56 am (UTC)Priority Mail - $15.90
Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box - 14.95
Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box - 10.95
Those are just estimates based on a 4 lb package and only covers shipping from me to you; not your share of the shipping from Lucaille to me. (Though unless EMS and Airmail are about the same price I'll be going with Airmail to keep this order as cheap as I can too, as I've ordered from Lucaille before via Airmail and my and my friend's wigs got here just fine.)
The medium box may be too small depending on the wigs you get, but may still work so I thought I'd include it. (No way would any wig fit in their small though without cramming it in, so I wont be offering that unless someone asks for it.)
By default I'll go with the cheapest option I can though, so if you want anything specific make sure to let me know. c: Also if you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Date: 2011-12-25 03:31 am (UTC)For reference though (but no guarantee of the price of this order) the Lucaille order I did with my friend (3 wigs, two very long and one short) came out to 45 for Airmail, and my order with Fantasy Sheep though taobao, which was a $200+ order with about 10 or so wigs, shipping came out around 60 (I can't remember the exact number but I want to say 67) for EMS, so let's say 70 for this order as an estimate. It'll probably be less but I don't know for sure, so I really can't say. But for this theoretical price your share of 70 would be around 17.40 (that's split four ways, not taking into account who is ordering how much yet; as like I said in the entry I'm doing this as evenly as possible and thus someone who orders more will pay slightly more than someone who didn't order as much. Though with shipping being split so much the difference wont be much.)
If it helps any, I have two or three friends considering joining so it's looking like by the end of this we'll have quite a few people to split it between. (And even if said friends don't join I think it's not bad, as at most I can't see shipping being very much when split.)
Sorry I couldn't really answer your question! Either way I can promise that joining this group order would save you shipping, as for four wigs from Lucaille via Airmail you'd pay at least 45 on your own.
