Eeveelution plushies

I'm finally deciding to make some animal plushies, and they wont be big or super detailed, but does anyone have good ideas of what I can make Flareon's neck fur and tail from? I'm making the plushies out of felt as usual, but I was just wondering if there was something more fitting. I don't have any faux fur, but I could go looking for some sometime, so I'm wondering about other alternatives from those two options [felt or faux fur]. Everyone else I have all planned out and I'm not worried about. I'm also thinking about making a Vulpix because omg, how cute would that be? *w* Eeveelutions first though~

I'm going to try and finish a full set in time to auction off on help_japan, but if I don't manage I'll probably just put up what I have with a note saying I'll get around to making the rest.
