Final Fantasy VII is amazing. I'm only remembering this now because I'm replaying it. I remember the dolphin thing being more annoying than it was this time around. if anything the CPR was more annoying just because it was so boring. Oh, and the safe thing. I freak out under such a time limit and always mess up. 36, 10, 59, 97... that shouldn't be so hard, right?
And I also noticed how fucking weird FFVII is. I must have been far too accepting as a child [the last time I played it] because everything is fucking weird. I was in a battle. I won't harp on the shadows, but let me point out that it looks like everyone must have a giant umbrella over their head for that large of a perfectly round shadow. Anyway, I was fighting two wolf like monsters [okay, so far so good] and a human-y drangon-ish thing, that was purple and looked like it was either wearing hot pink tights or pink tight leather pants. Yeeeeah. Why did I never think things like that were strange as a kid? And what kind of crack is SE on to make these things? Whatever it is I'm glad they had so much of it, because FFVII is awesome. I will say, I'm not used to the graphics so sometimes I'm not ever sure what I'm seeing. Like the inn keeper in Cloud's home town, he looks a liiiittle like he has three hands. I know he doesn't, or at least, I hope not, but I'm just saying. Good thing the characters like telling you things right after they happen. This is the one game where you sometimes need that. Oh, and the translations? Gorgeous. The subtle typos are really amusing.
So, um, yeah, I fucking love this game, and as soon and I can stop failing and open the damn safe I'll be a happy fangirl again.
EDIT: LOL I'm good now. I'm juat at the part before Aerith/Aries dies. Cloud just gave Sephiroth the black materia... with his crotch. At least, with how Cloud's hands weren't handing him anything and Seph was bent down and Cloud put his crotch at face level for Seph and then the "U GAVE HIM TEH MATERIA LOL U PHAIL" message came up and... well damn, Cloud's crotch is very talented to handle materia. I bet there is a dirty fanfiction about materia in it's purest form being used as lube or something. No, really, I'm sure it's out there. The fandom is weird like that.
